His track record of self-remixes and VIPs includes "Sad Song", "Words", and his last true remix "Vai Malandra" with Deniz Koyu. In 2023, he marked the end of a five-year remix hiatus, dropping remixes of Jungkook's "Seven" (feat. Latto) and S3BZS' "MONTAGEM PR FUNK".
Back in 2021, the man kicked off a dream collab with one of the world's biggest pop stars, Katy Perry. The infectious track "When I'm Gone" speaks about heartbreak and movin' on, as memories stay pressed, leaving a mark forever. In an interview with V Magazine, Alesso shares his thoughts on producing the track with the singer. "It’s been many years since I heard a really dope dance record with a big chorus," he said.
"And I made this one and it’s just about having fun and dancing with your partner and it’s very sexy and groovy and all this kind of stuff that I love that dance music can bring."
Though Katy said she doesn't typically do the "‘I’m hot. You suck for dumping me,’ vibe" of songs, "I’m a big fan of Alesso and I was just like it’s time to lean into being a pop star for a hot second," she shared. The track was definitely one heck of a hot banger!
