Canadian rock band, Barenaked Ladies or 'BNL' are known for their distinctive combination of humor with their music, a mix up of alternative rock, pop and rap. The group's American success rocketed after release of their 1998 album, 'Stunt' and the singles "One Week" and "It's All Been Done."
They are also behind the theme tune of US sitcom, The Big Bang Theory.

Violent Femmes are often discribed as 'the textbook American cult band of the 1980s', capturing the spirit of teen music. Originating from Milwaukee WI, their music is a collection of melodic folk-punk & alternative rock. They continue to succeed time and time again, with their releases of 8 albums and having sold over 9 million records!
