"T'Challa Is Dead, But That Doesn't Mean He's Gone." This famous line from Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever speaks enormously for the fans of the Marvel franchise. With the unfortunate death of Chadwick Boseman, the second installment of the award-winning blockbuster movie became somewhat personal for MCU fans all over the world. The beloved character of Boseman in and out of the camera was one of the many reasons why Black Panther is one of Marvel's most successful movies of all time. Thus, his sudden death worried fans about the future of the movie franchise.

Most respectfully, the movie was able to pay tribute to the death of Boseman's character without sacrificing the integrity of the plot. The story introduced plausible characters that continued the legacy of the original Black Panther. From the funeral fit for a king to the introduction of Namor the sub-Mariner, to the return of Killmonger to Shuri earning the title of the new Black Panther, the movie is jam-packed with scenes that will make you hold your breath in amazement and anticipation.

Grossing over 800 million dollars worldwide, Black Panther 2 closed at the sixth spot as the highest-grossing film of 2022. Considering the restrictions still in place in some countries because of the pandemic, the movie's blockbuster performance is a victory with epic proportions. Its success wasn't only commercial, though, as the movie gained positive response from critics. In fact, the movie was nominated in some of the most reputable award-giving bodies, including Golden Globe Awards, Academy Awards, and Critics' Choice Awards, among countless others. Most notably, the movie snatched the Best Costume Design trophy in the Academy Awards and the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture award for Angela Bassett's performance.

Needless to say, the movie is one of the best Marvel movies in recent years. And you and your family will be able to enjoy it once again on the big screen this summer. The movie is part of this year's Denver Film of the Rocks movie line-up. The annual summer event, brought to you by Denver Film and Denver Arts & Venue, will kick off this June 12 Monday.
