Celebrated DJ and music producer Harley Edward Streten a.k.a. Flume, released his breakthrough hit, “On Top,” featuring T-Shirt in 2012. The single entered the Australian Mainstream chart and peaked at number 3 on the Independent Label Singles chart. The song and his follow-up singles, “Sleepless,” featuring Jezzabell Doran, and the number 1 indie hit, “Holdin On,” were spawned from Flume’s self-titled debut album. The record notably topped the mainstream and independent Australian charts and entered the charts in four other countries, including the U.S. The album peaked at number 12 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums. With over 140,000 copies sold in Flume’s home country, the album was later certified double platinum.

In 2016, Flume broke into the U.S. mainstream chart with his second effort, Skin. The highly-acclaimed album debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200 and dominated the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Aside from being a commercial success in the U.S., Skin also topped the charts in Australia and New Zealand and entered the Top 10 in Canada and Belgium. The effort, which spawned hit singles “Never Be Like You,” “Smoke & Retribution,” and “Say It,” later won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album.

Last year, Flume dropped his third effort, Palaces. Led by the single “Say Nothing,” the 2022 album entered the Billboard 200 and peaked at number 1 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Besides the U.S., the record also entered the charts in six other countries, including the U.K. and Australia. The album was reportedly completed during the pandemic, and Flume has infused several themes embracing nature and wildlife. After all, Flume’s father is a horticulturist. Hence, being one with nature is not a new endeavor for the acclaimed producer.

Earlier this year, Flume released his new mixtape, Things Don't Always Go the Way You Plan. The record contains collaboration tracks with Panda Bear, Injury Reserve, and Isabella Manfredi. Moreover, the mixtape primarily comprises unreleased tracks from 2012 to 2021.
