The Future Bass movement is evolving at a very rapid pace, and fans are really enjoying the combination of genres as it takes off into the stratosphere. Arguably, the leader of the movement has to be Harley Edward Streten, one of Australia's most talented DJs and producers, or, as he is known by his stage name, Flume. One of the first to develop the unique sound, he used synthesizers, elaborate chord progressions, pitched vocal samples, and a combination of dubstep and trap to help establish the genre.

At age 11, using rudimentary DJ and production applications, he began making music. This would give him a solid foundation on which to kick start his career and through hard work, his break came when he entered an original artist competition hosted by Future Classic.

He has worked with notable figures like Kuka, T.Shirt, Vince Staples, Vic Mensa, and Tove Lo and has remixed the likes of Sam Smith, Arcade Fire, Disclosure, Lorde, and Hermitude. Over the years, he also received much acclaim for his innovative blend of electronic, pop, and hip-hop styles. His self-titled debut album was released in 2012, and despite being produced entirely on his first laptop during a low budget trip to London, it was hailed by critics and went double platinum.

After the success of his debut album, he released a second studio album in 2016 titled Skin, which also did exceptionally well on the ARIA charts. At the 2016 ARIA Music Awards, he went home with eight awards, including Best Male Artist and Album of the Year, and a year later he picked up his first Grammy Award.

With over a billion streams for his single “Never Be Like You,” he became part of the exclusive 1 billion club, which catapulted Flume to even greater fame. Palaces, Flume's third studio album, was released in 2022, and Things Don't Always Go the Way You Plan, Flume's second mixtape, followed in 2023. Fans cannot wait to see what he comes up with next, but in the meantime, you have to enjoy his live show.

Seeing Flume perform live is like witnessing a work of art come to life; his shows are an electrifying journey through future bass-inspired music and the level of enthusiasm and excitement is off the charts. Do not let this chance pass you by; buy your tickets immediately before they are all gone.
