Fans of Greensky Bluegrass, get ready for some awesome news – your favorite jam band are returning to the Red Rocks in 2018! Featuring special support from The California Honeydrops and Turkuaz, they promise two truly outstanding nights. Get your tickets for the second on Sunday 23rd September 2018!!
Opening this incredible night is Turkuaz, Brooklyn’s own nine-piece colourful party band, complete with horn section! No ordinary rock group by anyone’s standards the band artfully blend funk rhythms and soulful melodies into infectious beats. The genres are as varied from R&B to Afro-pop – the thing that holds it all together is that that they will get any crowd up and dancing!
Next up are Oakland natives The California Honeydrops. With their distinct New Orleans style, stunning harmonies and unusual instrumentation (including the jug and gutbucket bass!) they’ve risen from California subways to being the in-demand act for live concerts all around the world.
Finally, our headliners Greensky Bluegrass. Noted for their unique take on bluegrass music and their ferocious touring schedule, they’ve developed a reputation, and rightly so, for putting on some of the best jam shows in the world! "We play two sets of music every night with a big light show, and really care about creating a large scale production," guitarist David Bruzza explained. ”The goal isn't just to play important music. We want to cultivate an experience, where people can escape from their everyday lives for a minute and put their worries aside.”
