Red Rocks Amphitheatre | Morrison, CO
High Times Cannabis Cup Concert: SOJA, J-Boog & NAS comes to Red Rocks Amphitheater on Saturday 18th April 2015! The U.S. Cannabis Cup in Denver is back and is bigger than ever!
SOJA is an American Grammy-nominated pop reggae band based in Arlington, Virginia. Their melodic guitar melodies, skanky rhythm and kicking hip hop style beats create a unique sound, still staying true to roots reggae. Their catchy vocals give their music a pop twist, which has made way for their success, working with guest artists such as Damien Marley and Collie Buddz on their album, Amid the Noise and Haste.
Born in Long Beach but raised in Compton, California, J Boog is an American R&B and reggae singer of Samoan descent. In 2004, he met George "Fiji" Veikoso, another singer who blended R&B and reggae sounds together.
NAS is a hiphop artist and rapper, son of famous Jazz musician, Olu Dara. His music keeps his fathers music alive, with piano based jazz influenced rap songs. He always manages to bring back the 80's hiphop vibe.
His song "Half Time" appeared on a movie soundtrack, bringing him to the attention of Columbia Records. His albums include Illmatic (1994), It Was Written (1996), Stillmatic (2001) and Hip Hop Is Dead (2006). Nas famously feuded with fellow East Coast rapper Jay-Z, but the two resolved the conflict in 2005.
