Fans are still reeling in from last year’s performance, and Hippo Campus is now making their much-awaited return! The five-member band from Minnesota rocked the Red Rocks last year, delivering over 20 songs on their outstandingly high-energy set. Critics wrote that Hippo Campus “enriched a Windy Red Rocks with an intimate presence and infectious sound.” Yes, the band that emerged a little over a decade ago is a purveyor of a variety of sounds. This can be stemmed from members’ background in studying jazz in conservatories. Meanwhile, some of them also performed with a number of other bands. Last year, Hippo Campus celebrated their 10th year anniversary with a highly-awaited Wasteland Tour. The trek covered songs from their latest EP, which spawned the outstanding staples “Kick in the Teeth,” “Moonshine,” and “Honeysuckle.” Fans have yet to recover from the fantastic shows they delivered, but there’s great news! This 2024, Hippo Campus will once again hit the road, which includes a stop at the Red Rocks Amphitheater!
On Monday, 6th May 2024, Hippo Campus, along with their special guests MJ Lenderman and Hannah Jadagu, will once again light up the Red Rocks Amphitheater. Fans can look forward to a myriad of iconic hits, including songs from the debut album Landmark, all the way to their latest studio effort, LP3. The band will also deliver a mix of songs from their highly acclaimed EPs. Last year, Hippo Campus promoted their 2023 EP, Wasteland, which includes the monumental single “Kick in the Teeth.” The band is revered by fans for its outstanding live performances and fully-packed setlist. Last year, Hippo Campus performed a total of 23 songs, including unforgettable encores, “Violet” and “Buttercup.” The set also debuted seven songs on that tour, giving fans a highly-coveted experience.
Meanwhile, thirty-four-year-old acclaimed solo artist MJ Lenderman is also promoting his latest EP, Boat Songs, which includes quintessential indie pop staples like “Hangover,” “You Have Bought Yourself a Boat,” and “TLC Cagematch.” Lenderman will also perform brand new hits, such as “Rudolph” and “Knockin’,” which are rumored to be included in his new album.
Furthermore, bedroom pop icon Hannah Jadagu joins the line-up and will perform songs from her debut album, Aperture, and her 2021 EP, What is Going On? The singer is regarded as one of the fastest pop artists in the circuit. This is your opportunity to catch her live set!
