Hozier is an eclectic performer whose music is influenced by various genres, such as blues, soul, folk, R&B, and rock. He rose to prominence with his debut single, “Take Me to Church.” Released in 2013, the single peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. The song is certified diamond in the U.S. upon achieving 12x platinum status. “Take Me To Church” also entered the charts in over 30 countries, topping the charts in 16 major markets. This phenomenal debut single, which later earned a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year, was featured in Hozier’s three-time platinum-certified self-titled debut album. The record topped three Billboard charts and peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200. The lead single was followed by several critically-acclaimed singles, including “ Sedated,” “Someone New,” and “Cherry Wine.”
In 2019, Hozier released his sophomore effort, Wasteland, Baby! The album topped the Billboard 200 and three other categories and entered the charts in 18 other countries. The album spawned sensation singles, including the platinum-selling song “Almost (Sweet Music).”
Earlier in the year, Hozier released his latest EP, Eat Your Young, accompanied by the title track. The track follows several non-album singles, such as “Swan Upon Led,” “The Parting Glass,” “Jackboot Jump,” and “The Bones (remix),” performed with Marre Morris.
