Bringing that Rocky Mountain breeze to the heart of Nashville's music scene is Ian Munsick. This Wyoming native paved the way for a fresh take on country music. Growing up on a ranch, working the land, and working up crowds, he’s the pure definition of country. Ian's childhood had him and his two older bros jamming to everything from bluegrass to The Beatles. Now, blending genres like a musical wizard, he's carving a niche as a forward-thinking artist with an old-school soul.
Drawn to the honesty of traditional lyrics and the vibes of the modern soundscape, Ian followed his ears straight to the heart of Music City. Back in 2017, he dropped a self-titled EP, snagging iHeartRadio’s Rocky Mountain Song of the Year for the rootsy "Horses Are Faster."
Fun fact: he's the only artist to qualify two tracks at once as finalists in the NSAI/CMT songwriting competition.
Fast forward, he's inked a major deal with Warner Music Nashville; clocked over 100 million global streams; and got the nod as one of Spotify's Hot Country Artists to Watch. His debut album, "Coyote Cry," showcases his high-flying voice belting out self-penned tunes. They definitely bgive you equal parts epic adventure and down-to-earth wisdom. Imagine western pop-meets-country, weaving a musical thread from Chris LeDoux to Post Malone.
He’s been doing big things recently, including opening for the great Lainey Wilson. He’s doing some of his own headlining shows too! He was super ecstatic to announce that he’s coming to Red Rocks for a show.
“I’M PLAYING RED ROCKS JUNE 5th!!! Not sure there’s a more fitting setting for my music than this legendary venue,” Ian Munsick captioned his announcement on Instagram.
Joining him for this show are The War Treaty and fellow Wyoming-bred artist Chancey Williams. You definitely can't miss out when all three of them rock the stage! Their music is the perfect vibe for an iconic venue like this. So, go ahead and secure your tickets to the show!
