The much-awaited event features some of the biggest names in heavy metal, such as In This Moment, Ice Nine Kills, Motionless in White, and Black Veil Brides! Grammy-nominated alternative metal band In This Moment headlines the much-anticipated birthday bash at the Red Rocks. The female-led band, which emerged in 2005, released their groundbreaking debut album Beautiful Tragedy in 2007. Their most successful studio effort, Black Widow, was released in 2014, debuting at number 8 on the Billboard 200 and number 3 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart. The album was preceded by singles, “Sick Like Me,” “Big Bad Wolf,” and “Sexy Metal Barbie.”
Ice Nine Kills or INK is a heavy metal band from Boston, Massachusetts. The quintet has one of the most unique musical styles in the genre, mixing heavy metal with rock, ska, and pop-punk. Some fans have branded the band’s music as “horror punk” or “theatricore,” due to the band’s affinity for theatrics.
Another band that loves the theatrics is Motionless in White. Some fans and critics have defined the band as “horror metal.” Their music consists of various metal subgenres, such as death metal, metal core, and industrial metal. Motionless in White has released six albums, the latest being Scoring the End of the World, released this 2022. Their most notable studio effort, Reincarnate, topped the Hard Rock Albums chart and peaked at number 9 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Award-winning rock band Black Veil Brides or BVB used to love theatrics. The band dressed like glam metal misfits and made themselves up with heavy corpse paint during their early days. In their later works, the band slowly dropped their visual act with the release of each album. Their latest studio effort, The Phantom Tomorrow, was released in 2021 and was preceded by the single, “Scarlet Cross.”
