The Southern roots artist is back on the road and bringing all of his sheer talent to the stages across North America! Including this special show at Red Rocks! Jason Isbell hails for country backgrounds in Alabama/Tennessee state line and his musical adventures began all the way back at the age of just 6 years old, when he learned how to play the mandolin. With help from his family – who always filled the house with music, mainly gospel and bluegrass – all of which is showcased in the heart of his music even today.
"I definitely don’t feel like I would be the musician that I am, or the type of songwriter, had I not come from that particular place," he says now. "The soul music that came out of there, and a lot of the soul-influenced rock and roll and country music that came out of the studios in north Alabama in the '60s and '70s had a big influence on me."
As he releases emotions through music and lyrics, Isbell never disappoints and always manages to bring the energy, similar to that on his albums, as he performs straight in with the songs, from verses to chorus' there's no waiting around for this guy!
