The Aussie rockers, now called King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, started as a side project in 2010 - just a bunch of musical adventurers led by the incredible Stu Mackenzie. But guess what? They found that the magic of their jam sessions was too good to pass up, and the rest is history.

The lineup is a quirky crew. It features Stu Mackenizie on vocals and guitar; Joe Walker and Cook Craig on guitars; Ambrose Kenny-Smith rocking the harmonica and vocals; Eric Moore and Michael Cavanagh on drums (yes, two drummers!); and Lucas Skinner holding it down on bass. They dropped their debut album, "12 Bar Bruise," in 2012, followed by "Eyes Like the Sky" just five months later. And get this – they've kept up this crazy pace ever since!

In 2015, they blew everyone's minds with "Quarters," an album with four psychedelic jams, each exactly 10 minutes and 10 seconds long. That’s not all though because in the same year, they released five albums! Time after time, the band has consistently pushed new music. This year’s “The Silver Chord” is officially the band’s 25th album.

Whether you're into straightforward singles like "Cellophane" or ready to dive into spacey epics like "Head On/Pill," King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard will take you on a musical journey that's pure magic.

And if you don’t know yet, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard just unleashed the news – they're hitting the road for a massive world tour in 2024! Can you feel the excitement? It all kicks off in March with some epic Lollapalooza gigs in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. After that, they're taking over Europe in the spring. Followed by a big splash in North America during late summer and fall. Oh, and to add a bit of extra flavor, they've got Grace Cummings joining them as the opener on select dates!

If you're a fan near the iconic Red Rocks venue, then you'll be thrilled to know that the band's playing three shows in just two days! King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard will perform an early show and a late show on the 9th of September. By securing your all-day passes, you get access to both events!
