King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is Australia’s psychedelic gem. The six-member rock band formed in 2010 and became one of the most highly-acclaimed rock acts in the country. The band comprises Stu Mackenzie, Ambrose Kenny-Smith, Joey Walker, Cook Craig, Lucas Harwood, and Michael Cavanagh. The band released its debut album, 12 Bar Bruise, in 2012. The record contains several fan-beloved tracks, such as “Elbow” and “Bloody Ripper.” Upon its release, the album debuted at number 14 on the Australian charts. In 2016, King Gizzard became a global rock phenomenon with the release of its 2016 album Nonagon Infinity. The critically-acclaimed effort features incredible hits like “People=Vultures,” “Mr. Beat,” and “Gamma Knife.” Nonagon Infinity charted impressively, debuting at number 4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers. The following year, the band dropped their highest-charting album, Microtonal Banana. The 2017 effort topped Billboard’s Rock and Alternative Albums charts. The album spawned three singles, “Nuclear Fusion,” “Rattlesnake,” and “Sleep Drifter.”
