Louis the Child is an electronic dance music duo from Chicago that rose to popularity in 2015. They are known for complex musical blends and sonic experimentation. You probably have heard them from big film productions like "Spiderman: Far From Home" and "Grey's Anatomy." They've garnered worldwide audiences and recognition for their unique style of EDM, creatively combining classic music instruments and jazz, recreating and merging them to blend with synth, rhythm, and new techno beats.
Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett, the artists behind Louis the Chils, first met in high school while making music for fun. Both musicians were just entering the era and new world of techno, and they got serious in their music career after the evident emergence of their music among other artists. They gained traction when they released their first single, "It's Strange," in 2015. A prominent artist noticed and commended the single, featured in a Nissan Kicks commercial dubbing them the "feel-good bright and versatile duo in the EDM community." They were able to build a fanbase with several new singles and two full-length albums. With successful touring around the country, Louis the Child marked themselves as one of EDM's most sought-after artists.
Louis the Child collaborated with Pell and created Pellican Child, whose first single was "Turn Me Down" in 2017. The duo often features female vocalists, blending the music perfectly and beautifully, setting them apart from other EDM artists. In 2018, the duo hit a milestone, teaming up with Australian singer-songwriter Wafia for the gold-certified single "Better Not," their highest showing to date on the U.S. dance chart and their first chart hit in Australia. And keeping us at the edge of our seats is the release of Louis the Child's latest single, "Here Comes A Feeling," in 2021.
