Lyle Lovett’s acoustic tour coincides with a monumental milestone in his career. This 2022, Lovett is set to release a special 30th-anniversary re-release of Joshua Judges Ruth on vinyl. “It doesn’t seem possible that was 30 years ago,” Lovett released a statement and described how he felt about this remarkable milestone. “I never dreamed in 1976 when I was 18 and first started performing that in 2022 I’d still be able to do something for a living I love this much. It’s thanks to the people who keep showing up, who keep buying my records and who’ve supported my live streams during the pandemic. I’m grateful to them, and I want to do my best for them every time.”

Lyle Lovett began his music career in 1986 when he dropped his self-titled debut album, distinguishing himself as a Texan singer-songwriter. Lovett, who’s also an actor, enjoyed phenomenal success during the ‘90s. His third album, Lyle Lovett and His Large Band, won the Grammy Awards for Best Vocal Performance, Male. While his song collaboration “Funny How Time Slips Away” won Best Pop Vocal Collaboration in 1995. Two years later, Lovett’s sixth album, The Road to Ensenada, won Best Country Album at the Grammy Awards. The Road to Ensenada peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and 24 on the US Billboard 200 charts. Apart from the Grammys, Lovett has received numerous accolades, the most notable being inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame. He was inducted by actor Sean Penn. During Penn's speech, Lovett was called “a humble maestro” and “a singular American troubadour.”
