Australian dance act Rufus Du Sol returns to Red Rocks Amphitheater for the second of two back-to-back shows on Thursday 12th August 2021! Bringing an alternative flavor to EDM, the Grammy Award-nominated band had a smash hit with their 2018 album Solace, putting them on the map as one of the most exciting bands on the scene! Fans will know how lively and full-power the trio's shows can be, with live instrumentation, euphoric highs, and mighty drops, taking the crowd on a journey and keeping the dancefloor rocking!
Originally known under the name Rüfüs, Australian alternative dance band Rüfüs Du Sol was formed in Sydney, Australia in 2010 by Jon George, Tyrone Lindqvist and James Hunt. The band gained traction with the release of two EPs, RÜFÜS EP and RÜFÜS BLUE, in 2011 and 2012, respectively. However, it was their debut album, Atlas, that took their career to the next level, debuting in the top spot on the Australian Albums Chart. Bloom, their sophomore effort, also made its debut at number one on the Australian Albums Chart and Solace, their 2018 third studio album, peaked at number two, as well as reaching number six on the Billboard US Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart. The album was nominated for three ARIA awards at the 2019 ceremony – Album of the Year, Best Dance Release and Best Group – winning the award for Best Dance Release. It was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2020 Awards.
