Meet SLANDER, also known as the American DJ duo Derek Andersen and Scott Land. The pair met at university in Los Angeles, California - instantly clicking when they found out they both like to make beats. The duo started collaborating and gained attention through remixing popular songs. This all happened before their transition to producing original tracks.

Their breakthrough came with the 2014 remix of Showtek’s “We Like to Party” - earning them the recognition and popularity they deserved. Since then, they’ve had collaborations and remixes with artists such as NGHTMRE, Above & Beyond, and Seven Lions further. Some of their best hits include "All You Need To Know" and "Love is Gone" - both of which achieved RIAA Certified Gold status. SLANDER's unique style is often dubbed "heaven trap." At every song, the duo seamlessly blends dynamic and emotional elements of trap, dubstep, and future bass.

In 2022 the two released their first full-length studio album “Thrive.” It was followed by a 29-date headlining tour this 2023. The Chimera Tour was a huge success, and it also brought them to Red Rocks! “It was incredible,” said Derek Anderson, one-half of the Slander duo. “We sold close to 100,000 tickets. It definitely exceeded my expectations. All the shows were the biggest we’ve done in those particular cities. We’re super grateful that so many people came out.”

“An album has been a long time coming for us,” added Scott Land. “We’ve known each other for 12 years, always DJed together and shared similar tastes in music. But we were never in one place long enough to make 10 songs with a singular vibe. We get to have a bit of fun now.”

There have been no announcements for a new tour in 2024. However, SLANDER has just announced another show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. It’s safe to say that the duo had a lot of fun at this year’s show - now they’re coming back for more! If you missed out on attending the last show, you’re given another opportunity now!
