The outing kicks with a festival appearance in April, followed by a series of solo shows in select cities, including Morrison, Colorado! On Friday, 21st April 2023, Sofi Tukker will light up the Red Rocks Amphitheater with their sensational hits and fan favorites, which may include “Best Friend,” “Purple Hat,” “Summer In New York,” “It Don’t Matter,” and more. The Florida-based duo will also perform their new songs from their chart-performing latest album, Wet Tennis! Sofi Tukker is a Grammy-nominated electronic duo that emerged from New York in 2014. The pair, comprising Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, met at Brown University. The two began working on songs together, and the rest was history. In 2016, Sofi Tukker released their debut EP, Soft Animals. The record spawned singles, “Drinkee,” Awoo,” Matadora,” and many more. “Drinkee” earned a Grammy nod in 2017 for Best Dance Recording. The song showcased the duo’s knack for infusing world music into their music style. Sofi Tukker released several more notable tracks, “ including “Feeling Good” and “When the Rona’s Over.” the album peaked at number 5 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums and number 6 on the Heatseekers Albums. Meanwhile, the highly-acclaimed effort also entered the charts in five other countries.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, the duo live-streamed their DJ sets from home. They performed a total of 400 performances by 2021, and their shows have been expanded across various social network platforms like Facebook, Twitch, Instagram, Discord, and more. Last year, they released their sophomore studio album, Wet Tennis. The record, preceded by its single, “Original Sin,” peaked at number 12 on Billboard’s U.S. Dance chart.
