Stevie Nicks is the only woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. The “Reigning Queen of Rock ‘N Roll” was first inducted in 1998 for her work with Fleetwood Mac. In 2019, she was inducted again for her work as a solo artist. During a brief interview with CBS, Nicks expressed her sentiment for being the only female to achieve such as feat. “It’s 22 men that are in twice for their solo work and being in a big band and no women until me. So I feel that I definitely broke a big rock ’n roll glass ceiling,” she said. Moreover, during another interview with Rolling Stone, she hoped that this achievement would pave the way for other women. "My biggest hope is that I have opened the door due to the fact that there are 22 men who have gone in twice and zero women. I think that’s really a little off balance. That’s what I’m hoping."

Stevie Nicks first emerged as a solo artist in 1981 when she released her debut album, Bella Donna. The album peaked at number 1 on the US Billboard 200 chart and was certified platinum three months after it was dropped. Bella Donna features iconic hits, such as “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” “Leather and Lace,” “Edge of Seventeen,” and “After the Glitter Fades.” After the stellar success of Bella Donna, Nicks continued to record and release seven more highly-acclaimed studio albums.
