Kick starting their career all the way back in 1993, SCI began to perform around their home state in Colorado. With a talented bunch of musicians, they formed the band together and have been taking to the stage ever since. The group of course includes; Michael Kang (acoustic/electric mandolin, electric guitar, and violin), Michael Travis (drums and percussion), Bill Nershi (acoustic guitar, lap steel guitar, and electric slide guitar), Kyle Hollingsworth (piano, organ, Rhodes, and accordion), and Keith Moseley (bass guitar), and, in 2004, Jason Hann (auxiliary percussion).

As many live artists do, SCI were passionate to play music to crowds where-ever they go, even in the most random selection of venues, such as ski resorts and private functions but with their sheer dedication, they were able to front themselves in the right way and set up their very own record label! On this, they self-produced their first record, Born on the Wrong Planet – this album set them aside from the rest with their inspiration shining through, with cover versions of their favorite tracks plus a few originals, "Black Clouds," "Land's End," "Texas," "Jellyfish" and more… with a groundbreaking sound that stayed away from the stereotypical mainstream, they embarked on a long standing journey of their music career.

SCI are a blend of sound, from rock, electronica, calypso, country, funk, jazz, Latin, progressive rock, reggae, and occasional psychedelia. All members write original compositions and sing.. a rare opportunity that doesn't happen often – making their performances out of this world as you can see every single member showcase what they do best!
