Sound Tribe Sector 9 hails from Athens, Georgia, and was founded in 1997 by five incredibly talented musicians led by guitarist Hunter Brown. The band performs what they call “livetronica,” which is defined by their affinity to post-rock dance music. The band's music is usually characterized by its outstanding rhythms. Focusing less on delivering solos, STS9 performs together as one unit providing a harmonious soundscape matched with powerful and energetic light presentation.
