Emerging from Concord, North Carolina, The Avett Brothers was founded by Seth and Scott Avett in 2000. They wanted to use the band as an outlet for their variety of influences, including pop, rock, folk, indie, punk, country, bluegrass, and more. The band became a multi-genre act that captivated the hearts of listeners worldwide. In 2009, the band released their major label debut effort, I and Love and You, which spawned the hit “Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise.” In 2016, the band released their ninth album, True Sadness, garnering the band its third Grammy nomination and second nod for Best American Album.
