Raching number 3 on the Billboard 2000 and nominated for a Grammy for Best Americana Album, the album was received with delight by both audiences and critics, with Rolling Stone magazine stating; "It feels like the record's most profound celebration – just joyous strumming, bowing, and the sound of earnest voices collectively making light out of dark.”
