Since 2006, the Front Bottoms has steadily created a unique brand of pop-punk staples infused with folk, indie rock, and acoustic. Hailing from Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, the is the brainchild of main members, guitarist Brian Sella and drummer Mat Uychich. The illustrious duo is accompanied by regular touring members. The current line-up includes backup singer Aj Peacox, basis Natalie New Balod and guitarist Erik Kase Romero. Taking inspiration from pop-punk icons, such as Say Anything and Blink 182, the band spent their early days circling the New Jersey live music circuit and writing music for their debut album, I Hate My Friends.

By 2013, the band had made their first breakthrough by releasing their second album, Talon of the Hawk. The effort entered the Billboard 200 and entered the Top 10 of the Independent Albums and Top Rock Albums charts. The record features the band’s biggest hit, “Twin Size Mattress,” as well as fan favorites, “Lone Star” and “Talon of the Hawk.” Two years later, The Front Bottoms soared to number 32 on the Billboard 200 with their follow-up record, Back on Top. The album was picked up by Fueled by Ramen and serves as the band’s major label debut. The effort also peaked at number 6 on the Top Alternative Albums and number 10 on the Top Rock Albums charts.

In 2014, The Front Bottoms released an EP titled Rose. The effort spawned the hit single “Be Nice To Me, which has clocked in over 60 million streams on Spotify. Rose is the band’s only EP to enter the charts, peaking at number 28 and 47 on the Top Independent and Top Rock Albums. The Front Bottoms are known for their unique approach to folk punk. Popularized in the ‘80s, the subgenre stemmed from legendary artists such as Bob Dylan and the Velvet Underground. The Front Bottoms’ excellent take on the genre is demonstrated in their fourth studio album, Going Grey. The record peaked at number 47 on the Billboard 200 and number 6 and 8 on the Top Alternative and Top Rock Albums charts.

Earlier this year, the band dropped their latest single, “Outlook.” The song is a glimpse of what’s to come in their upcoming 2023 studio album, You Are Who You Hang Out With. The album will be officially released on Friday, 4th August 2023, and the band will celebrate this day with a fantastic show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater!
