Progressive bluegrass 'jam' band, The String Cheese Incident comes to Red Rocks Amphitheater on Saturday 25th July 2015! Known for their improvised style on stage, the cheese stay true to their roots with instrumentation of mandolin, violin and guitars. Their shows are more of an experience than performance, with a mind blowing array of color in their light shows, incredible energetic music, along with surprises such as acrobatics and stage props and decor! Every show is unique and is guaranteed to be an unforgettable, out of this world event!
The 'jam' band movement was a groundbreaking rock style in 90's America. It shook the ground and The String Cheese Incident was one of the main ones to arise with their bluegrass sound! Their music style also has hints of rock, electronica, calypso, country, funk, jazz, Latin, progressive rock, reggae thrown into the mix! Making them an extremely accessible band which has led them to have a successful, growing following. As the bands popularity grew, so did their stage experience, they began to bring in spectacle's of psychedelia themed colorful lighting, 3 dimensional props, hoop dancers and acrobatics, naturally this encouraged the size of the crowd to grow and the band has literally not stopped touring since.
