The sophomore effort broke into the top ten of Billboard’s Top Country Albums, Top Independent Albums, and Top Folk Albums charts. Meanwhile, the record also entered the Top 100 of the Billboard 200. Purgatory spawned several of Tyler Childers’ biggest hits, including “Lady May,” “Whitehouse Road,” and Universal Sound.” Moreover, the album received wide critical acclaim from critics and music journalists.
