Umphrey's McGee has long been a fixture in the jam rock scene since their emergence in the late ‘90s. The band, known for their outstanding live shows, has always taken pride in delivering brilliant jams, extended solos, and clever segues. With a plethora of genres, such as pop, rock, jazz, funk, and more, at their helm, Umphrey’s McGee has easily amassed a loyal following over the years. In 2006, the band, who pretty much stayed an independent act throughout their career, made their phenomenal breakthrough on the chart. Their fourth album, Safety in Numbers, entered the Billboard 200 and peaked at number 11 on the Heatseekers chart. The band also made their debut on the Top Independent Albums’ Top 20. With subsequent releases, the band’s entry into the chart became more impressive. By 2014, their eighth album, Similar Skin, entered the Billboard 200’s Top 50. Four years later, they dropped their 11th album, It’s Not Us, which became their highest charting effort to date.
