About the upcoming album - Only Gods Above Us:
The two newly released advance tracks from Only God Was Above Us highlight different aspects of the album while still feeling like integral parts of the same whole. "Capricorn," penned by Ezra Koenig and produced by Ariel Rechtstaid and Koenig, starts off subtly before blossoming into a transcendent chorus filled with distorted guitars and lively drum beats. On the other hand, "Gen-X Cops," co-written by Koenig and Chris Tomson, and produced by Rechtstaid, Koenig, and Tomson, opens with an energetic guitar riff reminiscent of a 1990s Hong Kong action flick and carries a spirited rhythm to a memorable refrain about each generation crafting its own apology.

The band's webstore will sell limited edition clear vinyl, ordinary black vinyl, digital downloads, and physical copies of Only God Was Above Us, which will be released by Columbia Records on April 5. Additionally, independent shops will be the only places to purchase the alternate album cover.
