Vance Joy rose to prominence in 2012 upon the release of his award-winning single, “Riptide.” The song became an international hit, earning 6x platinum in the U.S., 16x platinum in Australia, and 5x platinum in the U.K. The song earned a diamond certification in Canada after selling over 800,000 units. On the U.S. charts, the single topped the Billboard Rock Airplay and peaked at number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 2 on the Hot Rock and Alternative Songs chart. The single came from Vance Joy’s 2013 EP, God Loves When You’re Dancing, preceding the release of his platinum-certified debut effort, Dream Your Life Away.
In 2018, Vance Joy released his sophomore effort, Nation of Two. The album entered the charts in 13 countries and topped the chart in Australia, peaking at number 10 on the U.S. Billboard 200.
