American blues rock band Widespread Panic was formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1986. Drawing influence from other jam-band greats, such as the Grateful Dead and Phish, Widespread Panic have built up a loyal fan-following over the years, due to their diverse and energetic live performances and dedicated commitment to touring. Never playing the same show twice, Widespread Panic are known for their extensive catalog of songs and improvisational playing style.
