ABOUT MARC REBILLET

Electronic musician and YouTuber Marc Rebillet began learning piano at the age of four and studied classical music until age 15 while attending Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas. Around 2011, he began producing music under the name Leae, but was ultimately unsuccessful.

CAREER

In 2016, Rebillet began uploading videos to YouTube of him improvising songs in his bedroom, apartment, and hotel rooms, often while dancing in his boxer briefs. He also frequently live streamed these bedroom concerts, which began to go viral through Reddit and Facebook. He soon garnered a large community of fans who began to leave him online tips for his work. His sessions are typically interactive, with fans making live song requests.

As of August 2021, Rebillet has 11.8 million online streams of his music, more than 2 million YouTube subscribers, and over 127 million YouTube views.

When his tour of Australia and New Zealand was canceled and subsequently rescheduled for early 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Rebillet instead scheduled four free live stream shows on Twitch named for four cities on the canceled tour – known collectively as the "Quarantine Livestream Tour." The first show of the series attracted over 1.57 million viewers and raised over $34,000 for coronavirus-related charities.

In December 2020, Rebillet performed a live stream as he hit one million subscribers on YoutTube. To date, Rebillet has performed streams with Erykah Badu, Reggie Watts, Emily King, DJ Premier, Brady Watt, Flying Lotus, Madison McFerrin, Harry Mack, and Wayne Brady.

In early 2022, Rebillet hosted a biweekly series titled "We've Got Company" that streamed on Twitch and featured Rebillet along with musical guests. Guests during the first season included Wyclef Jean, Tokimonsta, Alison Wonderland, Reggie Watts, and Tenacious D.
