Midland - Band at Red Rocks Amphitheater

Born in Dripping, Texas, Midland is an illustrious trio comprising Mark Wystrach, Jess Carson, and Cameron Duddy. The band emerged in 2014 and has released three critically-acclaimed albums. In 2016, Midland made their first breakthrough with the release of their self-titled EP. The record, released via Big Machine Records, entered Billboard’s Country Chart and Top Heatseekers at numbers 38 and 18.

The following year, they dropped their first full studio record, On the Rocks. The album spawned the band’s biggest hit single, “Drinkin’ Problem,” which entered the three Billboard charts, including peaking at numbers 4 and 3 on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay. The song later earned triple platinum status in the U.S. in 2021. On The Rocks released two more hit songs, “Make a Little” and the platinum-selling single “Burn Out.” Both releases entered the country chart. The band received two Grammy nominations one year after their stellar studio debut. “Drinkin’ Problem” was nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song. Besides the Grammys, the band also received an ACM Award nomination for Vocal Group of the Year, which they won.

In 2019, Midland dropped their sophomore effort, Let It Roll. The album soared to number 16 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Top Country Songs chart. Besides performing phenomenally on the charts, Let It Roll received wide critical acclaim from fans and critics. The album featured two chart-performing singles, “Mr. Lonely” and “Cheatin’ Songs.” To promote the record, Midland went on the road in June 2019 and traveled to 14 select cities.

Two years later, the band dropped an album titled, The Sonic Ranch. The record served as the official soundtrack record of their documentary film. The story focuses on the band’s first recording session in 2014. In the same year, Midland dropped their sophomore EP, The Last Resort. The album was later followed by the full studio version, The Last Resort: Greetings From. The 2021 effort featured singles “Sunrise Tells the Story” and “Longneck Way to Go,” featuring country music superstar Jon Pardi. The Last Resort: Greetings From entered three Billboard charts and topped the U.K. chart. This was their second effort to go number 1 in the U.K. after Let It Roll.
