Carl Cox at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Carl Cox has been a staple among house music lovers. The prolific DJ and music producer has been a household name in EDM events worldwide. Emerging in the ‘80s, the name Carl Cox has been known for releasing the best of electronic music. During his early years as an up-and-coming DJ in England, Cox became known for his three-deck-mixing practice. He showcased a fast-paced DH style that can energize any audience. In an interview with DJ mag, Cox recounted how he started with the mixing style. “I stuck a record on the spare deck and mixed it in. The sound was fatter than I had imagined; as most of my sets are unplanned, it wasn’t difficult to keep going.” Cox added that the people at the time were already winding down and ready to go home, but when his music started, the crowd was revived.

In 2001, Cox began his legendary residency at a popular nightclub in Spain, the Space Ibiza. Every summer, he took over the club with his incredible tracks. His residency has created a legacy that he named “Music is Revolution.” After his notable performances in popular nightclubs, Cox began headlining popular music festivals, such as the Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, EDC, The BPM Festival, and many more.

Last year, Cox released his latest studio effort, Electronic Generations. The record contains his collaboration, “Speed Trials,” with Fatboy Slim and Dan Diamond.
