Michigan-born progressive band Greensky Bluegrass began their days jamming together during open mic nights in Kalamazoo. Since their early days, the band has infused different genres into their music. After all, the current members, comprising Dave Bruzza, Michael Bont, Paul Highman, Mike Devol, and Anders Beck, came from various musical backgrounds. In 2004, the band released their debut album Less Than Supper. Two years later, Greensky Bluegrass joined the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado. Their stellar performance earned them a slot on the main stage of the same festival the following year. In the same year, the band dropped their first live album, Live at the Bells. The album was recorded in Bell’s Brewery, which served as the band’s unofficial home base in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Since their formation in 2000, the band has released 11 studio albums, including their latest album, Stress Dreams, which was dropped in 2022.
