Greensky Bluegrass at Red Rocks Amphitheater

With a unique, rock and roll take on traditional bluegrass music, Greensky Bluegrass are a five-piece country band hailing from Kalamazoo, Michegan. Formed in 2000 as an acoustic three-piece by Michael Arlen Bont (banjo), Dave Bruzza (guitar), and Paul Hoffman (mandolin), the group released its debut album, Less Than Supper in 2004. Nowadays, the band has evolved to include bassist (and classical cellist) Michael Devol and dobro and lap steel player Anders Beck. Both the group's sound and live show have evolved over the years too – they now include electronic instrumentation in their line-up and dramatic lighting and visual effects in their increasingly popular live sets, which has made them a festival favorite. The band has released nine studio albums to date, including one live album. Their most recent release was 2016's Shouted, Written Down & Quoted.
