Colorado Symphony returns to the Red Rocks at last! Colorado Symphony’s full ensemble will hold its first live performances of 2021, The Music Of John Williams & The Colorado Symphony at Red Rocks Amphitheater on Tuesday, May 25th 2021. John Williams is widely regarded as the greatest film composer of all time, he has won twenty-five Grammy Awards, seven British Academy Film Awards, five Academy Awards, and four Golden Globe Awards. With fifty-two Academy Award nominations, he is the second most-nominated individual, after Walt Disney! This concert will feature music from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and more.

John Williams is the world-famous composer of film scores, producing genuine musical hits for movies including, the entire Star Wars saga, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Home Alone, all the Indiana Jones films, the first two Jurassic Park films, Schindler's List, and the first three Harry Potter films, the evening will take you back through your much-loved movie moments and maybe introduce you to a few new symphonic favorites! John Williams isn’t just a movie composer, in a career that has spanned nearly seven decades, he has also composed numerous classical concertos and other works for orchestral ensembles and solo instruments, theme music for the 1984 Summer Olympic Games, NBC Sunday Night Football, "The Mission" theme used by NBC News and Seven News in Australia, the television series Lost in Space and Land of the Giants, and the incidental music for the first season of Gilligan's Island.

Conducted by Colorado Symphony Resident Conductor Christopher Dragon, Colorado Symphony will have its full ensemble out for this live performance. The Colorado Symphony is home to eighty full-time musicians, representing more than a dozen nations and recognized as an incubator of innovation, creativity, and excellence.
