The Grammy-nominated band Big Thief has become one of the most influential and beloved indie rock bands in America. The Brooklyn-based quartet, led by frontman Adrianne Lenker, released their debut album Masterpiece in 2016. The album, featuring hits “Masterpiece,” “Real Love,” and “Pau,” received wide critical acclaim. By their third album, Big Thief finally made their breakthrough. U.F.O.F. entered the Billboard 200 chart, Top Alternative Albums, and Top Roc Albums charts. The album received a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album and won Album of the Year at the Libera Awards.
In 2019, Big Thief's fourth studio album, Two Hands, was preceded by their single, “Not.” The song received two Grammy nominations for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song. The song, well-received by critics, was included in “Best of” lists by various publications, including Pitchfork, Uproxx, The Guardian, Billboard, and more.
This 2023, Big Thief received two more Grammy nominations for their latest album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You, and its single, “Certainty.” Last year, the album spawned its sixth single, “Simulation Swarm,” which peaked at number 18 on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart.
