With their colorful artwork and design surrounding the band, the Fitz and The Tantrums also have a colorful collection of sound to match! Hailing from Los Angeles, the group came together and formed the band back in 2008. The current line up of course is; Michael Fitzpatrick (lead vocals), Noelle Scaggs (co-lead vocals and percussion), James King (saxophone, flute, keyboard, percussion and guitar), Joseph Karnes (bass guitar), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards) and John Wicks (drums and percussion). Since they first came onto the live music scene, they also were excited and more than ready to release their debut album – Pickin' Up the Pieces, two years after the band first begun. With their release via the indie label, Dangerbird Records, these guys got the ball rolling and hit the number 1 position on the charts! After signing to their next and current record label, Elextra, their base has grown more than ever and have since then released a second LP and a third album that came out just two years ago.
Throughout the last 10 years, Fitz and The Tantrums have performed at some incredible shows, all over the world including at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. As well as this they have plated at Club Nokia in LA, as they supported ska legends The Specials on their North American reunion tour!
