North Carolina-rooted The Avett Brothers is coming back to the Red Rocks for a summer tradition set of shows. The indie folk-rock sensation will be taking their hits, crowd favorites, and big surprises to the live stage. With a slew of records that stay true to their roots, a blend of folk and rock & roll, The Avett Brothers have amassed a dedicated following for their distinct energy and sound. This summer's set of shows marks the band's 33rd to 35th performances at the iconic venue.

Founded in the year 2000, The Avett Brothers found their big break with the release of their sixth studio album, I and Love and You, selling over 500,000 copies in the US, hitting the 16th spot on the Billboard 200. It featured its hit title track single, "Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise". "Slight Figure of Speech", and "Kick Drum Heart".

Following I and Love and You's successful performance, the band released their next acclaimed album "The Carpenter" in 2012. The record hit #4 on the Billboard 200, featuring its hit singles "Live and Die" and "February Seven". Since then, The Avett Brothers have been releasing records that continue to soar the charts and remain true to their folk-rock roots.

In August 2020, the band released the third installment to their stripped-down acoustic series of EPs, "The Third Gleam". NPR notes that the record reminds fans why they fell in love with their music in the first place. "The lyrics, the honesty, the feeling you could be in the room, right there, up close with them as they sing their heart out." NPR shared.

The band's last major release was 2019's "Closer Than Together" which produced fan favorite singles "High Steppin" and "Tell the Truth". Hinting at a new record in the works, The Avett Brothers share that they'll be focusing on unity as music connects people.

"We hope that they [the fans] find something in it that falls under the category of evidence of connection – unity or feeling less alone," the band shared with CMT. "I believe like music is the perfect way to access that connection. If they don't find that in our music, I hope they stop listening immediately and find it in some other music."

As The Avett Brothers take on a new year of music, big surprises can be expected along the way. Don't miss out on their summer tradition of shows at the iconic Red Rocks by booking those tickets now!
